Evanston Year 5 Camp
Recently, Year 5 students from our Evanston Campus enjoyed an unforgettable three-day adventure at El Shaddai Camping Centre in Wellington, where they took on a series of exciting outdoor challenges that tested their limits and fostered teamwork, courage, and personal growth.
During their camp, the students participated in a variety of thrilling activities designed to challenge both their physical and mental endurance. From rock climbing and archery to navigating rope ladders and conquering giant swings, the students faced each new challenge with determination and enthusiasm. These experiences not only pushed them outside their comfort zones but also helped them develop important life skills such as problem-solving, communication, and resilience.
Beyond the physical activities, the camp provided a valuable opportunity for the students to build lasting friendships. As they worked together to overcome challenges, they strengthened their sense of community and supported each other in ways that will benefit their relationships and teamwork both in and out of the classroom.
The three days at El Shaddai Camping Centre were filled with laughter, learning, and personal growth. As they return to their studies, the Year 5 students will carry with them the confidence and skills gained from this incredible experience. It’s clear that the memories made and the lessons learned will have a lasting impact on their development throughout the rest of the year.
This camp was not just an adventure, but a celebration of the spirit of courage, camaraderie, and fun—values that will continue to guide our students in all their future endeavors.
