Join the team at Xavier College, Two Wells where we celebrate diversity, culture and excellence in education. As the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Support Person, you’ll work collaboratively with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Coordinator, supporting students and staff to foster an inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and cultural growth of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. This permanent, part-time role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with learning both individually and in groups, using structured programs
- Prepare classroom resources and learning materials to support curriculum delivery
- Collaborate with teachers and coordinators to identify learning pathways for Indigenous students
- Participate in discussion with teachers, Inclusive Education Coordinators and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Coordinator to develop strategies and programs for indigenous students
- Support the facilitation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural events such as NAIDOC Week and Reconciliation Week
- Build positive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, families, and the wider College community

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare month-end balance sheet and other reconciliations
- Generate and distribute monthly actual vs. budget reports to budget holders
- Analyse financial data and ensure accurate recording of transactions in the accounting system
- Assist with the preparation of monthly BAS, annual FBT returns, and other tax compliance documents
- Ensure effective management of funds and investments in compliance with College and sector policies
- Contribute to the renewal of annual insurance policies, including work cover and claims management
- Assist in preparing and distributing college fees to families
- Support fee collection processes and report to the College Accounts Manager
- Process salary claims and reimbursements
- Assist in the preparation of the College’s annual budget, including for staffing, curriculum, and facilities
- Liaise with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation for annual audits
- Ensure compliance with government legislation (BAS, PAYG, FBT reporting)
- Work collaboratively with the Finance team to support the College’s financial health, compliance, and long-term sustainability

- A Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent)

Xavier College seeks a dedicated and technically proficient ICT/AV Support Officer to operate and maintain cutting-edge audio-visual and ICT systems to support the learning outcomes of students and enhance community experiences at each campus. As ICT/AV Support Officer you will work in close collaboration with the ICT Team and the Head of Digital Technology under the direction of the ICT Operations Manager to ensure ICT & AV activities comply with CESA system requirements and protocols.
The successful candidate will have experience in responsive technical support and ensure smooth operations for events and classroom technologies, contributing to the College’s forward-thinking digital strategy. Key Responsibilities
- Prioritise AV support and, maintain all Xavier College audio visual technologies

Risk and Compliance Manager

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Risk and Compliance Manager to join our expanding, multi-campus College in a permanent, full-time position under direction of the College Executive Officer, commencing early 2025.
As the Risk and Compliance Manager, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our mission by managing the College’s risk and compliance framework and ensuring a safe and secure environment for all. The Risk and Compliance Manager will work closely with the College Executive team to ensure that the alignment of the College’s risk and compliance accountability framework is consistent with the vision of the College’s Strategic Plan. They will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of risk mitigation, ensuring policy and procedures remain up to date and compliant in relation to Risk Management, Work Health and Safety and Return to Work requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the College’s risk management framework and policies
- Maintain and update the College Risk Register
- Ensure compliance with legal obligations, including SafeWork SA
- Promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance throughout the College
- Implement WHS practices in line with current legislation and organisational policies
- Coordinate emergency management plan, drills, and injury prevention initiatives
- Work closely with the Facilities Operations Manager on safety audits and incident prevention
- Provide guidance to the College Executive, Board and Committees
- Facilitate Safety Committee meetings and maintain accurate records

- Possess formal Tertiary qualifications (equivalent to 3 or more years of full-time study) in the area/s of Risk Management and/or Work Health and Safety and/or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role

- High-level organisation skills, ability to plan, problem solve, prioritise and proactively manage time effectively, demonstrating a high degree of initiative, discretion and capacity to be self-directive and be responsible for own outcomes
- High level of confidentiality, trust, integrity, and work ethic combined with ability to self-reflect and self-manage, as well as positively contribute to the development of the College
